This is a sample of populating a Google Map from a MySQL database using PHP, XML and Javascript. It does not search
the web, although all the information was gathered using Google. All engineering firms listed were originally in an Excel spreadsheet. I used it to periodically check
the sites for job openings.
Note that I've also rated the web sites 1 thru 5, with 1 being top notch and 5 being ugly or they have no web site.
I've found that most are quite good, but I've run across some that
look as if the owner's 12 year old son did the work.
