Cycling
A personal passion.
I first started getting serious about cycling when my wife and I lived next to Annadel State Park in Santa Rosa, CA. I had a department store, heavy, steel mountain bike that I had to walk part way up the hill. I got lost my first time out and my wife got worried and called the park ranger.
We moved to Gurneville, CA in 1999 and opened a small bike shop in 2000. We served the local residents and rented bikes to the tourists. We received a certificate from the Russian River Chamber of Commerce in 2002 as the best "new" business. Unfortunately, shortly thereafter we sold everything and moved to the Chico area for family reasons. I had moved up to an aluminum Fuji Lite-1 mountain bike with full suspension. Way Cool!

We're now living in Desert Hot Springs, near Palm Springs. I've ridden in two Tour de Palm Springs events and one Redlands Rotary Ride. I have a few favorite 12 to 18 mile routes from home that I try to do at least twice a week.
